Bandarpunch Glacier is an important glacier of the Yamuna river basin. The length of Bandarpunch Glacier is 12 kms. The location of Bandarpunch Glacier is on the northern slopes of Bandarpunch peak of 6316 m, Khatling peak of 6387 m and Bandarpunch west of 6102 m. Bandarpunch Glacier is actually a formation by 3 cirque glaciers namely, which flows towards the Yamuna River and joins it. Bandarpunch Glacier is bounded by the lateral grounds and the glacier lies on gentle shape. All these indicate the surface level of Bandarpunch Glacier.

Bandarpunch Glacier is approachable from Dehradun to Sankri-Saur by bus and to Taluka from Sankri-Saur by light vehicle or jeep towards Osla. The Osla Ruinsara Tal is located at the region below the snout of the glacier. It is a very good camping site. From this place, Ruinsara, people can visit the Bandarpunch Glacier and its surrounding area.
The nearest point by air travel is at Jolly Grant, which is 24 kms from Dehradun. Dehradun is connected by road to other parts of India with a wide network of routes. There are local transport services at Bandarpunch Glacier region.
