Submerged Shivling is one of the places of pilgrimage in Gangotri and Yamunotri. It is a natural form of Shivling made of rocks, which later on gets submerged into the river Ganga. There is a mythological belief in this regard. Lord Shiva sat in this spot when the Ganga first appeared in this eternity. This shivling is visible around the beginning of winter when the water is absolutely crystal clear.
