Kedarnath temple is a popular Hindu temple. It is counted as one of the holiest Hindu temples of lord Shiva or Kedarnath. While going to the Kedarnath temple, one have to reach the temple by a long trekking of 13 kilometers uphill from Gaurikund. According to many mythological facts, it is known that, the Kedarnath temple was built by Adi Shankaracharya. The temple is acknowledged as one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of lord Shiva. Kedarnath temple is the grand symbol of historical work of art and it features all the mythological figures in the outer and inner walls of the temple. Being a famous Shiva temple, the Kedarnath temple is also considered as one of the four most popular sites of India those are known as the Char dham pilgrimage.
