Yamunotri Temple

The credit for the construction of the original temple, which got built in the 19th century goes to Maharani Gularia of Jaipur. The temple, which a tourist gets to visit at present have got built in the recent years. The rituals, which are associated with this temple, are carried out by the Uniyal family of priests. One of the main features of the rituals performed at the Yamunotri Temple is that rice is cooked with the help of the hot springs that are formed into prasad and this prasad is distributed among the thousands of visitors, who have opted for this pilgrimage site to offer prayers.
